Prof. Catanzaro is a Professor of Medicine at the University of California San Diego and a respiratory care physician with over 40 years medical experience in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of tuberculosis. 
Prof. Catanzaro has been a member of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) TB Branch and continues to work with the CDC as a TB Trials Consortium (TBTC) investigator. As a recognized international authority, Prof. Catanzaro heads the National TB Curriculum Consortium in the USA which is dedicated to the strengthening of the teaching of TB to students of medicine, nursing and allied health
