Néstor Molfino, M.D., MSC, FCCP
Vice President, Clinical Development, Pulmonary DiseaseDr. Néstor Molfino joined MedImmune in June 2007 as senior director and was named vice president, clinical development, and clinical therapeutic area head, pulmonary disease in July 2008. In this role, he is responsible for all phases of global clinical development for pulmonary conditions.
Dr. Molfino has 14 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience. Prior to joining MedImmune, Dr. Molfino was senior director, clinical development at Otsuka Maryland Research Institute for four years. |
He also served as director, medical affairs at Baxter Bioscience and vice president, research and development and scientific affairs at Theratechnologies, Inc., in Canada. For the past 14 years, Dr. Molfino has also served as a pulmonary and allergy consultant to Fermin Salaberry, a non-profit public community hospital in Argentina.
Dr. Molfino received a master’s degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of Toronto. He holds a medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Rosario in Argentina, completing an internship and residency in internal medicine and respiratory medicine after which he went to Toronto, Canada for a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto where he was appointed assistant professor in 2004. In 2006 he was also appointed Adjunct Professor at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. |
